High Cholesterol at Applebee's

Well, steaks and ribs go hand in hand with cholesterol. Being their signature dish, it will be a challenge to find low-calorie, healthy food for those concerned with their cholesterol levels. However, you can always opt for their salads and other light foods to keep the cholesterol in check.

Great place for families on the budget. 2 for $20 and a free appetizer or dessert can't be beat.

My wife and I walked into this restaurant moments ago. It only took us about five minutes to walk out The music was, for lack of a better word, blaring. When we asked the host who seated us for a quiet booth, we were told the best he could do was a booth. Did not seem to matter much to him that we sought some semblance of reasonable volume ... We did want to be able to hear each other. When we complained to our server we were told that she hears the same complaint all the time but can't do anything about it - the manager wants it that way. We immediately left and found somewhere else to eat. As the restaurant was nearly empty at 9:30 on a Friday night, evidently, Mr. Manager, your strategy for ambience isn't working. Time for a new line of work that doesn't require you to be sensitive to your customers?

We've been here several times. Today we had Jessica as out waitress. She took good care of us. She even pointed out when we ordered that we could the 2 for $25 deal. She was very prompt. My chicken was a little over done this time. You are supposed to get a $5 off your next visit if the manager didn't visit your table but I didn't say anything. The fiesta lime chicken is my fav!

Enjoy coming here after 9 for half off apps. Food is good and for the people complaining- you get what you pay for! Go to red robin across the street if you are not satisfied.

I haven't had any decent service or food at an applebees in a long time, but this location made me enjoy applebees again. service was amazing and food was great!

Very upset with myself! I've lived literally a mile down the street from the place for coming up on 25 years but just recently went in for the first time a few back! Haven't gotten food just drinks so I can't speak about that but gotta assume it's good? Feels like Cheer's to me already! Have been in only 2 or 3 times over the past month or so yet a handful of the staff know me by name already! Always a nice touch to be greeted with a, "Hey Neil. Great to see you again!" when you enter the establishment! =)

Not for families. Our kids were well behaved but the waiter started off with an attitude towards kids. Plus continuing to forget things like silver wear and straws. Then over charged us and didn't feel too willing to fix it even though he agreed it happened. Heard other horror stories from friends after our experience at this location.

Have always enjoyed the food here particularly the Oriental chicken salad. Service is usually good always friendly. Saturday nights are jammed often with young kids making lots of noise because it is a family restaurant.

My son and I planned our visit tonight because we absolutely loved the All -In Burger we tried at another location (12 Mile/Southfield-see review) last week. We loved the burgers here too. Absolutely delicious! The difference between this visit (Haggerty/near 14 Mile) and the last was the customer service. Everyone from the young man who greeted us at the door, as he held it open for us, the host who seated us and asked about our night, the waitress who was so friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, the 2 managers who checked in with us and spent time with us, to the man who opened the door for us as we left and wished us a great night. I know that's supposed to be standard service for your company. It should be for every business. The thing is, everyone was very warm, sincere and smiling. It did not feel forced or fake or part of the job. I believe the staff love their job and respect and appreciate the customers. It shows on their faces, in the taste of the food and drinks and the sincere interest in the customers experience. Great job to everyone working tonight 1/6/15 dinner service! We will most certainly spread the word and come back again and again!

Average Applebee's... So maybe Yelp has turned me into a foodie. Maybe I don't expect much from chain restaurants. Whatever the case may be, this is just an average Applebee's in a nice location among shopping and other restaurants. We came for the appetizer specials and had a good meal and decent service. Nothing to write home about, but if definitely fulfilled our hunger on that Thursday evening. I would come back here as there was nothing that would prevent me from dining here again.

We got seated right away, the waitress was really nice. Our service was....interesting. Our waitress who was very friendly was also a flake. I asked for no salt on my glass for my margarita and it came with salt and sugar and an Olive in the glass? I ordered a margarita not a martini! Our spinach and artichoke dip came after 20 minutes and the chips tasted like pure salt! The silverware wasn't rolled, the manager was passing out napkins, forks and knives. My friend got the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with honey glazed chicken...I would of named it honey glazed pasta. The flavor of the cheese was non existent and the breadstick was burnt. When we told our waitress, she replies "yeah, I saw that I don't know why I sent it out..." Then she picked the breadstick up with her hands on my friends plate! Wtfffff. I got napa chicken with mushrooms, if was good but my Long Island was weak! Tasted like ice tea.

My wife and I had some appetizers at this location that had us wondering if we were sick for the following 24 hours. A friend suggested that maybe it was because we went on a Sunday night... but we won't be going to this one again no matter what day of the week it is!

Decent place for cheap meal. Your best bet is to go for the half off appetizers after 9pm.. Does not include the sampler. Waitresses are nice and speedy; but they did spill drinks several times on our table and persons. Basic franchise meal place.

Wow! This food was good, I'm sure - when it was fresh (maybe a few days ago)! The service was fine, but the food was just awful. I had the ribs, which were served Luke warm ad tough as wood. The fries that came with the meal were crunchy and dry - not in a fresh crisp way, but in a dried from sitting under heat for far too long kind of way. My friend's sirloin sizzler skillet meal was atrocious, as well. Very dry, tiny, and just generally bad. Ketchup made it edible, but that's pathetic. Also...this is a pet peeve of mine at many restaurants, but I hate it when the staff overfills the salt and pepper shakers to the point where none can even come out when you use them. After several attempts, I unscrew the top and the pepper heap inside falls all over the place. Honestly, I don't even know how they manage to fill them to that extreme, but it really is annoying. The chocolate moose dessert shooter was horrible, too. Soggy chunks of crumbled Oreo cookies in what probably was chocolate moose days before topped with what had to be canned redi-whip. Yep...just as bad as it sounds! Service was fine, but the food was so bad that I felt sorry for the server.

I received some coupons in Email about some special $5.99 all you can eat Lunch. Went over there and guess what? this special all you can eat $5.99 lunch covers only - soup, salad, breadsticks. ugh. hmmm. I must of forgot to read the fine print. Ok oh well. the place was very busy at 1130am. More customers than wait staff which really annoys me. I waited a little over 5 mins for some waiter to swing by. the dude gave me the usual spiel blah blah. Frankly I am in a mood and on edge a little so I am trying to be patient and calm. I tell the waiter I want an ice water and the $5.99 special lunch. I ask what are the soups? salad choices? ... and here is where it goes down hill... the waiter has no clue. He says he has to check, brb. ugh. So I wait. some other lady swings by my table with an ice water with a lemon wedge. I look at it and think - i never asked for lemon. I really don't want lemon wedge that Lord only knows how it was sliced and how long it sat out in a bin uncovered on the counter waiting for someone with unwashed slimy hands to grab one and put it on my glass. I tell the gal - I did not ask for Lemon with my ice water. the lady doesn't say a thing and goes off to another table. Seems her only task today was to deliver beverages. my waiter dude comes back with a small basket of bread. I ask the guy why did I get an Ice Water with Lemon? I asked for just regular Ice Water. And in the same sentence I ask the dude did he find out the soups & salads yet? the waiter did not know about the water. He said he'd get me another one. I said - this time No Lemon please. I really am not in the mood for salmonella poisoning. He looked at me oddly. I stared at him again for what seemed like minutes - and asked AGAIN, what are the soups & salad choices??? the guy blinked and said, Oh Yeah right... we have minestrone, chicken chili, beef barley, and chicken noodle. then he mumbled off the salad choices. I asked for the beef barley and a house salad - italian dressing on the side. The guy ran off to another table. 2 seconds later the beverage gal came back with regular Ice Water. I said thanks, she went off to another table without a word. I stare at the glass... I look and can clearly Tell this was the same glass I had before except all they did was remove the Lemon. It did not take much to see the smudge where the lemon was at. That doesn't cut it. I looked at the breadsticks. They were not even hot. They looked like they were leftovers from another day and someone tried to microwave them. Ya know when you microwave leftover bread - any time more than 30secs and the bread gets rock hard. - Well the breadsticks were about as fresh as a display from Ancient Egypt. I was not feeling this. Already my lunch was turning out to be a effing waste of time. I flagged down my waiter and asked how long would it be for some FRESHLY baked breadsticks that had been made this century? And how long for my soup & salad? the guy said he'd go check. I looked at my watch... I had been sitting there over 25 mins total... Still hadn't had any Fresh bread, still no sign of my soup or salad and I still had not had a Clean glass of Fresh Ice Water without Lemon. My patience wearing thin as well. I flagged down the first waiter person that walked by and asked for a Manager. Some gal in a polo showed up and I gave her my take on this so called wonderful $5.99 Lunch. She nodded. I told her I no longer am interested in waiting around. She made no attempt to say anything or do anything. I got out of my seat and left... Pretty pissed overall.
